Yes, image icons will be removed by the plugin as it will conflict with font icons. If any themes or plugins still using image icons for their menu, it will be hidden by our plugin. But you can set your own custom icons for all menu items by navigating to “Customize Admin menus” tab.
We did a new way to customize the image icons, thus image icons will not be removed from version 5.0
